Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and brush lightly with olive oil. Season with salt and black pepper.
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, garlic, smoked paprika, and lemon juice until combined.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Place salmon skin-side down and cook for 2 to 3 minutes without moving.
Pour glaze over the salmon and tilt the pan to distribute evenly.
Flip the salmon gently and cook for another 2 to 4 minutes, spooning glaze over the top as it cooks.
Cook until salmon is flaky and the glaze is thick and glossy.
Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
Serve immediately.
