Easy Oven Roasted Asparagus Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • lemon juice optional
  • grated Parmesan cheese optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Rinse asparagus and pat dry completely. Snap off the woody ends.
  3. Place asparagus on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the asparagus.
  6. Roast for 12 to 15 minutes until tender with lightly crisp edges.
  7. Remove from oven and add a squeeze of lemon juice if desired.
  8. Optional: sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
