Oven Baked Asparagus Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh asparagus
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons lemon juice optional
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Rinse asparagus and pat completely dry. Trim off woody ends.
  3. Place asparagus on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder if using.
  6. Arrange spears evenly without overcrowding.
  7. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until tender and slightly crisp.
  8. Remove from oven and drizzle with lemon juice or sprinkle Parmesan if desired.
  9. Serve immediately for best texture.
