Refreshing Celery Smoothie Recipe for Detox

Ingredients
  

  • 4 to 5 celery stalks
  • 1 medium cucumber
  • 1 medium green apple
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger optional
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup optional
  • 3/4 to 1 cup cold water or coconut water
  • 1/2 to 1 cup ice cubes
  • pinch of salt

Method
 

  1. Wash celery thoroughly and chop into smaller pieces. Peel cucumber if needed and chop. Core and chop the apple.
  2. Add water or coconut water to a blender first.
  3. Add cucumber, celery, apple, lemon juice, ginger, and optional sweetener.
  4. Blend on high for 45 to 60 seconds until smooth.
  5. Add ice cubes and blend again until cold and slightly frothy.
  6. Taste and adjust with more lemon juice or sweetener if needed.
  7. Add a small pinch of salt and blend briefly.
  8. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
